I love this trend of using graphs to share subjective, diaristic information. What was once the domain of 8th grade algebra has become art. It’s not only cool, but it’s also a smart way to share information.

A bunch of Wieden folk went down to the Battery Maritime Building last Saturday to meet David Byrne and check out his new installation with Creative Time called “Playing The Building.” As our very own Sarah Park (back-left) recaps: “Pretty Effing cool. In a nutshell, he rigged an old vintage organ up to the Maritime Building, so that when you hit specific keys on the organ, it “plays” the building. The Maritime Building alone is worth the trip - this is the first time in fifty years that it’s been open to the public. After this, it’s going to be turned into a freaking luxury hotel, so now is your chance to see it.” And Russ got in Fader (blue shirt, water bottle second to last image).

I’ve been hating Chipotle’s “calorie transparency” (on the big menu board behind the counter) - it stares me down as I order. But this is very cool. (I’m not a big chocolate lover.)

Awe inspiring photos on justcreativedesign via fffound. I’d recommend people who aren’t necessarily in typically creative industries or part of creative departments, take some time every once in a while to look at still photos whether it’s flickr’s most interesting or local galleries.
