A bunch of Wieden folk went down to the Battery Maritime Building last Saturday to meet David Byrne and check out his new installation with Creative Time called “Playing The Building.” As our very own Sarah Park (back-left) recaps: “Pretty Effing cool. In a nutshell, he rigged an old vintage organ up to the Maritime Building, so that when you hit specific keys on the organ, it “plays” the building. The Maritime Building alone is worth the trip - this is the first time in fifty years that it’s been open to the public.
